The Joseph T. White "Irish SCramble" Golf Tournament is one of Oneida County's premier charitable sporting events!  It brings together golf enthusiasts and advocates for a greater cause and a fun, yet competitive time!

Each year, this tournament grows in participation, excitement, impact, and PRIZE Values ~ last year we introduced a Hole-in-One prize of a Brand New Car from our newest sponsor, Mastrovito Hyundai!

Each year, we gather on the greens to combat hunger in our community through an exciting four-person team "scramble" tournament that continues growing in participation and impact. Next year is our 30th Anniversary, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Our tournament is fun and competitive, using a Four-Man Scramble Format.  Never done a "Scramble" before?  It's where teams of four players work together to achieve the lowest possible score on each hole. This format is a crowd favorite because it is inclusive and fun!

How It Works:

• Team Play: Each team consists of four players. On each hole, all four players tee off.
• Selecting the Best Shot: The team selects the best shot after all players have hit their tee shots. All players then play their next shot from that chosen location. This process continues until the ball is holed.
• Scoring: The team's score for each hole is based on the best shot, allowing for a collaborative effort rather than individual competition.

This format ensures players of all skill levels can contribute meaningfully to their team's success, making it an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone, from seasoned golfers to enthusiastic beginners.
